How do their models differ?

HealthJoy starts with software. JoyAI answers questions about the employer's plan, and a licensed concierge team handles complex situations such as claims disputes, appointment scheduling and care coordination1. HealthJoy describes itself as a benefits operating system2.

Quantum Health starts with people. Employees get one point of contact: a dedicated team of benefits experts, claims specialists and nurses3, plus physician chat through CirrusMD since March 20264. In the five-level framework on our navigation roundup, HealthJoy is level 4, benefits navigation, and Quantum is level 5, full-service healthcare navigation.

What do they cost?

Neither publishes prices, and both charge per employee per month. Two public contracts from 2026 show the range: LaSalle County, Illinois approved HealthJoy at $8.705, and Pinellas County, Florida agreed to pay Quantum Health $22.346. They are different employers buying different services, so treat the gap as a sign of how much staffing each includes, not as a quote.

What is included, and what costs extra?

Both price some services separately. HealthJoy's program terms sell telemedicine and bill review as add-on modules7. Pinellas County's agreement with Quantum prices maternity navigation and expert cancer case review on top of the base fee6. When you compare quotes, list the services you need first.

How long does setup take?

Quantum typically asks for at least 120 days6. HealthJoy doesn't publish a standard timeline; its contracts set a target start date8, and in September 2026 it introduced a guided setup with automated document parsing9.

Who should pick which?

  • HealthJoy if employees need help finding care, pricing prescriptions and sorting out claims, and an app with a concierge team behind it fits your budget.
  • Quantum Health if your plan is self-insured, claims spending is the pressure point, and you want clinical staff steering care.
  • Neither if employees mainly need to find their plan details, documents and the right phone number. That is a smaller job, and the box below covers it.

Not sure you need concierge navigation?

HealthJoy and Quantum Health both sell help from people, priced per employee. If your employees mostly need to find their plan details, documents and the right phone number, that is a smaller job. Benefits Studio turns your plan documents into a benefits site, with an AI assistant that answers from those documents and shows the page it used, at a flat price per portal from $49 a month billed yearly.
